A Letter from Coach Amado

Dear ATTN Community,

This is a hard letter to write.

Ryan, Tommy, and I will be moving to Los Angeles. ATTN has been more than a gym to me. It has been a place where I’ve grown as an athlete, a coach, and a person, surrounded by people who mean so much to me.

A loving thank you to Coach Carissa and Coach Brian. I started as your athlete in 2014 and later had the privilege of coaching alongside you in 2018 at Jab. What an incredible journey we’ve shared. Your belief in me helped shape the coach and athlete I am today, and I’m forever grateful for your mentorship and friendship.

Coach Andrew, thank you for creating something truly magical. I’m thankful for the culture you’ve developed, the team you’ve built, and the vision you’ve brought to life. ATTN has been my safe place where I’ve thrived alongside my people. Coach Chris and Coach Matt, thank you for your initial investment and for seeing the potential in this space.

Coach Robyn, you and our CompEx crew make it easy to show up even on the hard days. Thank you for caring deeply and for being relentless in refining my movement. I am a better athlete because of you. Coaches Maia, Ty, Buiford, Ivory, and Michaela, you inspire me to lift heavy, be playful, and coach with intention. Michelle, your dedication to your craft in the gym and in your art brings me so much joy.

And to our ATTN athletes, I am so proud of the journeys you are on, and I am grateful you allowed me to be part of them. Paraphrasing Beyoncé, “you dream it, you work hard, you grind ‘til you own it.” ATTN will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the memories, friendships, hard workouts, laughter, and the trust you’ve placed in me along the way.

With love and gratitude,

Amado
